Nervous about your Law Enforcement psych interview?

It's completely normal. Most candidates feel anxious before their psychological interview because the process is unfamiliar and the stakes are high. Our interactive practice tool is designed to get you comfortable, confident and prepared with solid responses to common psych interview 'traps'.

Typical Law Enforcement Psychological Interview Process & How We Can Help:

While the format varies for each agency, many start the process by having you complete a 100+ multiple choice questionnaire. There will likely be questions related to alcohol use,  past relationships & personal experiences.

Then, you'll move forward to an oral interview with a psychologist or other trained professional. The interviewer will review the intake questionnaire to look for specific areas where they should dig further to rule out any undesirable traits in a law enforcement candidate, like alcohol abuse or aggression. If your process did not include an intake questionnaire, the interviewer will almost certainly ask you questions related to your personal experiences and responses to hypothetical situations to try to assess your qualifications.

Our interactive interview tool is meant to mimic the oral psych interview by asking you a series of common questions that candidates are asked. You'll be asked questions around alcohol usage, how you respond to stressful situations, past relationship conflicts, etc. As you respond, the tool will give you feedback on any potential red flags your response may trigger.

After completing the mock interview, you'll receive a detailed assessment with feedback on strengths and areas of concern. You'll also receive a score on several personality traits that most agencies look for like integrity, coping skills, impulse control, etc.

The final summary will also include an overall pass or fail assessment. Remember, this tool is for practice purposes only and not guaranteed to predict the outcome of your actual psychological interview. But the score & feedback we provide can help you understand how your responses may be received and help you refine your answers before the real interview.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a psychological interview?
It’s a standard part of law enforcement and public safety hiring. A psychologist assesses your personality traits, decision-making, and stress tolerance.

Will this tool guarantee I pass my interview?
No. Every department and psychologist is different. This tool is designed to help you prepare, reduce anxiety, and improve your confidence.

How is this better than other psych interview prep solutions?

Most prep options give you a list of generic sample questions without any guidance on how your personal answers come across. Our tool is different: it's interactive and feedback-driven. You'll not only practice realistic questions, but you'll also see instant feedback on your responses so you can understand strengths, spot potential red flags, and refine your approach. It's private, repeatable, and designed specifically for law enforcement and public safety candidates.

How many questions will I be asked during a practice session?

Each practice session will consist of 13 questions designed to touch on all of the common areas most psych interviewers cover. Depending on your response, you may be asked a follow-up question before moving forward to the next question.

How many times can I practice?
You’ll have unlimited access for the duration of your plan.

Is my information private?
Yes. Your answers and practice sessions are not shared with anyone. Your responses are used only to generate real-time feedback during your session. They are not stored on our servers and are deleted once you close or refresh the tool. We do not keep transcripts of your practice sessions.
